Some blend / extrude their own while most buy the full bun but either way there are an infinite number of possibilities when it comes to converting this versatile family of substrates.
Usually it starts with a vertical or horizontal bun saw. Precision or not, high density or not this is where the real value added starts. Whether Edgesweets, Femco, Baumer or F & K please know that “Z” is the place to start.
Once skived you can coat it, laminate it, die cut it, shape it, thermal or sonic weld it,
Or you can extrude it, thermoform it, ring blow it or injection mold it…got that too.
And for those gnarly leftovers, we’ll get the baler that will put everything in its place, AND KEEP IT THERE!
After entering the packaging industry form the world of Information Technology, I was fairly confident I could run our family’s folding carton company without difficulty. I soon realized I needed to call on experienced vendors and consultants for their expertise. Our segment of the industry does not afford the luxury of new equipment so we needed to utilize pre-owned machinery as we moved from lower end graphic applications to high volume, higher end graphics segments of the market. Nicholas and Z-Virtual provided both the knowledge and the equipment inventory for us to survive and grow in a very difficult time in our industry.
